Hollywood (city) Broward County (W3)

(E?)(L?) http://www.bsactravelclub.co.uk/reports/floridakeys1.htm
(E1)(L1) http://www.takeourword.com/Issue084.html
"Quay" is pronounced "kee" and means "shoreline artificially built up with stone (or later, cement) to facilitate loading and unloading of cargo from ships".
...
Its earliest form (14th-15th centuries) was "keye". It derives from Old French "kay", "kai", "cay", and a cognate is Spanish "cayo" "reef", "shoal". In the 18th century the "keye" spelling was altered to "quay" after the French form "quai", but the pronunciation remained the same. The modern words "quay", "cay" and "key" (as in the "Florida Keys"), frz. "quai", span. "cayo" all derive ultimately from the same source: the root "*kagh-" = "to catch", "to seize" with the further meaning of "barrier", referring to the same "reef", "shoal" notion as the Spanish "cayo".

Melrose
Engl.

Orlando, Roland (W3)
(E?)(L?) http://www.behindthename.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?terms=roland
Italian form of "Roland". A city in Florida bears this name, as does a character in Shakespeare's play "As You like It".

"Fort Brooke was established in the l800s as a settlement to keep the Seminole people on their reservation. While the settlement's name of "Fort Brooke" gave way to the original Indian name, "Tampa", the fort remains today, a part of living history. The museum gives a deep insight into the life and times of early settlers to this region and gives all its visitors a realistic perspective into the past."
