Korab is highest peak in Macedonia and Albania. There are 52 peaks over 2000 meters in this region with the same name. This mountain has beautiful alpine relief, many glacial lakes, forests and rivers. It is near Bistra ski-center and Mavrovo Lake. From peak Korab extend magnificent views over the mountains of Macedonia.

Der "Korab" (albanisch "Mali i Korabit", auch "Vargu Lindor" ‚"Ostkette", mazedonisch "Golem Korab") ist ein Gebirge im albanisch-mazedonischen Grenzgebiet. Die gleichnamige höchste Erhebung "Maja e Korabit"/"Kobilino Pole", dt. "Korab-Spitze" ist der höchste Berg der beiden Länder.
Das Wort "Korab" stammt ursprünglich aus dem Slawischen und kommt von einem vorchristlichen Gott des Meeres.

Mount Korab ( Macedonian: "Golem Korab", Albanian: "Maja e Korabit" or "Mali i Korabit") is the highest mountain of the Republic of Macedonia and Albania, its peak forming a frontier between the two countries. The peak lies adjacent to the Šar Mountains.
